Take Action

This election season, cut through the noise.

Take a stand for love, belonging, and justice.

Every major election cycle brings out both the best and worst in us. Rather than continuing to sow the seeds of division, let’s turn 2024 into an opportunity to remember how we are all connected in one community. The VOTE for Belonging 2024 campaign will include social gatherings throughout the city, hosted by our Belonging Ambassadors. Stay tuned for more details.

If you haven't yet, please add your name to Belonging Compact and review our toolkits for building Belonging in our homes, communities, and places of work.

Let's make 2024 a year where Belonging brings us together rather than apart.

  • The Belonging Compact Ambassador Program is designed to spread the word about the Greater Seattle Compact for Belonging. Ambassadors do this by sharing best practices, creating community, and spreading the importance of Belonging to all aspects of their lives. Many who have signed the compact may feel unsure of how to best utilize the values and practices. We hope this community will jumpstart you on your Belonging journey and bring the practices to your home, community, school, and office.

  • We expect our Ambassadors strategically share the Belonging Compact with their networks. Don’t worry, we’ll give you lots of tips and materials to make this easy! We want Ambassadors to join monthly gatherings where we can connect with one another, share practices, and present opportunities to work together. We would like you to attend as many meetings as possible, with the minimum commitment being at least four times per year.

  • We have two goals for this program:

    1. Increase the number of compact signatories. The actual number of signatories will be discussed in our kick-off meetings.

    2. Improve everyone’s ability to utilize the four practices of conversations, advocacy, community building, and personal growth. We will sharpen our skills in all four areas during our monthly meetings.

  • We will support ambassadors in the following ways:

    1. We will provide an assortment of documents that will include ways to describe the compact, hold depending on conversations, and how to create Belonging at home, at work, and in our community.

    2. We will provide a social media toolkit with sample images and copy to post about the Belonging Compact on different platforms.

    3. We will provide a house party toolkit that will contain everything you need to host your own Belonging Gathering at home or at the office. This will include invitation templates, sample agendas, and how to connect with Civic Commons to invite a staff member to speak.

    4. Civic Commons will periodically gather feedback on the Ambassadorship program.
